The work analyzes the problem of health, which is topical nowadays, regarding upbringing, development, reproduction and death of a person. Philosophical approach to this problem differs in integrity, comprehensiveness and discrepancy of analysis of the process of social adaptation of an individual from the moment of birth till the end of labor and biological life itself. It appears in scientific literature as a social and psychological task – consideration of the process of entrance of an individual into the system of values of a family, culture, the social environment, i.e. often called “socialization”. Social philosophy investigates it as an interdisciplinary complex problem of interrelation of a person and world around them; as a result the social subject passes stages of a survival, socialization, reproduction of a professional and social status, a place in the system of public relations. The problem of social adaptation of a person under the conditions of modernization in all spheres of public life, instability of market relations, prices, social situation is considered. Novelty of statement of a problem and its decision is that social adaptation of an individual is traced at all stages of formation and development of personality: from the moment of the birth, through socialization where the attention is paid to natural and social factors, influences of health, family, family relations, mechanisms of formation of personality, then formation of professional data and social status in the course of work, and the crucial role here is played by culture, social infrastructure and living conditions. The current article is social and philosophical: justification of ideas of social adaptation specifics in early social and national groups, layers, communities, classes, country and urban populations, pushes on need of specific sociological researches for determination of these features and distinctions. Relevance and value of work is amplified since it reveals not only specifics of social adaptation at various stages of formation of an individual, but also mechanisms of functioning (social communication, socialization, formation of motives, interiorization, etc.). Besides, authors propose social methods of regulation of adaptation processes, which includes usage of mechanisms of social protection of motherhood and childhood.
