The article considers the rites of Finno-Ugric peoples pre-wedding period. Here begins a wedding ritual, laid the foundations for the successful holding of the entire wedding party and prosperous life of the newly wedded couple. According to the theory of transition rites of A. van Gennep at this stage starts Department of the bride from its sister team and its inclusion in the new family.
