Introduction: The article presents an overview of the factors affecting the decrease in energy costs during the construction and operation of frame type buildings. The authors propose the methods to increase energy efficiency in heating of frame type buildings.
Materials and Methods: The experiment was conducted in an individual residential building with a total area of 80 square meters. Two panels with an infrared heating element and thermoelectric temperature sensors were used. Signals from the sensors were registered by measuring instruments. The amount of the consumed energy was measured by the electric meter.
Results: The article identifies the problem and researches of parameters of the combined electric heating system, mutual influence of the two heating devices which are made on the basis of the heating elements with a positive temperature coefficient of resistance. The authors considered the basic scenario, and change of microclimate parameters. They studied the changes of microclimate parameters in the penetration of cold airflows into the room through the opening, and when the temperature of the walls decreases.
Discussion and Conclusions: The heating unit using the effect of self-regulation reduces the time for establishing the stationary regime. It helps to reduce the inertia of the heating system and to promote rapid recovery of the microclimate parameters, reducing energy costs and heat loss.
